Hi there! I'm Eric Duncanson and welcome to my page. As the Founder of Life MAX Systems(LMS) and the creator of the Life Max Funnel, I am so proud to offer solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and business owners a better way to maximize their life through the tools, techniques, and principles of life mastery.

The mission of the LMS team is to create a better world by sharing life management systems that optimize your performance as solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and business owners while revealing destabilizing blind spots.

These systems are designed to highlight and reduce your opportunity costs, and establish a foundation for sustained Success-Without-Regrets. This success movement will navigate across the globe, growing person by person – business by business.

Our Mission.

After struggling for years as a solopreneur to find balance in my life, I decided to stop the madness. I realized I had to change. I hired mentors and coaches and started learning some of the best practices.

LifeMax systems is here to spread the word to solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and business owners that you can have successful relationships, great health, and fulfillment, while you kill it in your business, but it is going to require some work to put the right systems in place.

My Story.

There’s a quote by Marissa Meyer, the President & CEO of Yahoo:

“You can’t have everything you want, but you can have the things that really matter to you.”

I had a slow start in building my career. In fact, here’s what my prep-school counselor told me: Eric, only apply to black colleges - they might just accept your application -

I’ll let that sink in.

Well, eventually, I became very good at checking my boxes of success – graduating from Boston College with a Rhodes Scholar nomination and the only all-university award, my Harvard MBA, my dream job at a Fortune 500 company making so much money I didn't have to think about money.

So when I was pulled into the company’s top project, I thought more responsibility more money, right.

Here's what I wasn't expecting. The result of this special project was a merger - I was told to keep my job, I’d have to move to Reston VA.

And I remember just sitting there thinking to myself are you kidding me? I'd had to relocate so many times. I looked over at a photo of my wife and my boys. I..I couldn’t do it.

So, I took the plunge into entrepreneurship.

I just knew that as an entrepreneur I'd have time freedom! I’d be able to spend quality time with my boys, travel with my wife, and I’d even be able to workout.

Then reality kicked in…

You know I once heard someone say that being an entrepreneur is the exhilaration of riding a tiger being fearful that it might eat you.

To tell you the truth as an entrepreneur I became my own very worst boss - I worked ungodly hours and I wasn't spending quality time with my kids or my wife.

In addition to that my health was deteriorating. I remember going outside for a quick run. I couldn't even get a couple of steps in before I started wheezing and coughing.

As a solopreneur I'd lived by the statement: Enough PRESSURE can make a diamond 💎, but...

I was learning enough STRESS can kill you.

I visualized Superman crushing that lump of coal in his hand to create a beautiful, brilliant diamond.

And, I wondered if I would end up like that bright diamond or just a lump of coal dust.

Had I crossed the line? Was I ruining my health and my most valued relationships to put everything on the line for my business?

It seemed the harder I worked, the less progress I was making in my business.

I'd heard that the true entrepreneurs’ answer to all kinds of pressure is simply to grind.

Just 10X your efforts, right?

What I didn't know at the time was that for any solopreneur, entrepreneur, or business owner, your blind spots (those most valuable areas of your life that you ignore) are your most potent Kryptonite.

I realized I had to change. I hired mentors and coaches and started learning some of the best practices.

I'm here to tell you...you can have, successful relationships, great health, and fulfillment, but it is going to require some work to put the right systems in place.

You can master the balancing act without being an Acrobat.

You can’t have everything you want, but you can have the things that matter most to you.

My Formal Education

Formal education includes an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Boston College and a Harvard MBA with a specialization in General Management and organizational behavior. I focused on the people side of management systems and processes.

Authorized by Harvard Business School to interview top corporate CEOs in their Executive program including the President of Remy Martin Wine Company (I learned first-hand about the impact of stress on our country's top corporate leaders)

Pre-Law Peer Counselor at Boston College (Selected by the College as an undergraduate to counsel Pre-Law students)

Corporate Experience

Senior Level Executive leading a global management team for a Fortune 500 company handling transitions and policies for global proposal operations in the US, Europe, and Asia.

10-plus years of managing complex multi-million dollar projects - Breaking down complicated goals into manageable chunks to maximize efforts of the weakest team members. I also mastered transitioning projects into the flow of existing programs.

Blasting Through My Expectations

I was labeled a low potential student by my prep-school counselor who told me to only apply to black colleges, as that was my only chance of getting in. I created my own life transformation by overcoming my own learning limitations, mastering meditation, and focusing on personal development to become a straight-A student graduating from Boston College with a Rhodes Scholar nomination.

In addition, I received the Edward H. Finnegan, S.J., Award, Boston Colleges' only all University Award; (individual faculty members nominate students), and the president of the college decides the recipient. The award is given annually to the graduating senior who best exemplifies Boston College’s motto “Ever to Excel.”

In my work life I’ve gained rich cross-cultural and a widely arrayed functional perspectives. My extremely diverse career paths have included: a successful brick and mortar retail business owner, a bank executive, a bank auditor, a counselor, a senior corporate executive, a proposal manager, a lifeguard, a public swimming pool manager, a marketing analyst, a college counselor, a government and commercial project manager, a visual artist, a musician, door-to-door salesperson, business-to-business salesperson, corporate salesperson, a network marketer, a digital marketer, and telemarketer, customer service representative, a tax preparation consultant, a life coach, a customer service manager.
